The geek community waited with bated breath this morning in anticipation of the reveal of the new Batmobile, which was promised by Zack Snyder yesterday. Of course, many of us hoped that the full reveal would also come with an official image of the new Batsuit, and I’m happy to say that Snyder didn’t disappoint!

This image is our first glimpse at Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader in Batman vs. Superman, as we see him standing next to the new Batmobile. As expected, the vehicle looks like a mix between Tim Burton’s classic design, and the Tumbler design featured in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

The Batsuit, on the other hand, is something we haven’t seen on film before. In just about every iteration of the character on screen, he’s worn body armor. In this image, however, the look of the suit is closer to something we’d see in a Jim Lee illustration, with a skin-tight suit and shorter ears on the cowl.

The Twitterverse seems to be exploding with excitement for this image, myself included, and I can’t wait to see how people react to what Snyder has come up with for the film.

Tell us, what do you think of the new Batsuit and Batmobile for Batman vs. Superman? Sound off in the comments section below!
