Though Ben Affleck has been awfully busy with his commitments to the DC Extended Universe lately, given his role as Batman, he’s still making time for other projects. He’s already got Live by Night in the can and ready for a release in January, and he’s also got Gavin O’Connor’s upcoming crime thriller The Accountant, which is getting ready to hit theatres next month.

Co-starring Anna Kendrick, Jeffrey Tambor, John Lithgow and J.K. Simmons, who will star opposite Affleck in Justice League as Jim Gordon, the film is shaping up to be quite exciting, with recent trailers painting it as a promising thrill ride led by Big Ben along with a solid supporting cast.

Today, to push the hype train even further, Warner Bros. has unleashed a whopping 40 new stills, highlighting all the main characters and giving us an extensive look at the upcoming flick. Taking the lead in most of the photos is Affleck’s Christian Wolff, an accountant and math savant “with more affinity for numbers than people.” However, his day job is simply a cover, as he’s also a freelance accountant “for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations.” Cue unexpected danger and trouble for Wolff as the Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division begins to close in on him.

The Accountant will shoot its way into theatres on October 14th, and though we’re all giddy with anticipation to see Affleck back in the DC world with Justice League next year, we’d be lying if we said we weren’t looking forward to him doing something non-Batman related as well.
