Ben Affleck In Talks For The Great Gatsby

It seems Boston's newly re-desirable actor, Ben Affleck, has found yet another high profile gig. He is "in talks" to star as Tom Buchanan in Baz Luhrmann's 3D adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel, The Great Gatsby. The film is penned for a release date in the jam-packed 2012 time period, with a cast that already contains the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan. The role was previously portrayed by Bruce Dern in the 1974 version, and Affleck is suitable enough to play a rich uptight socialite. This will be the first time witnessing the formerly titled "Bennifer" in the third dimension, but at least the source material is golden.
