The actor took to Twitter with a short video showing the star in the latest of what appears to be a series of sessions at the gym, and at 81 years old, it must be said that Williams is on pretty good form.

Of course, you probably shouldn’t expect anything too physical from Williams in next year’s trilogy-closer, but whatever scenes are lined up for Lando, a recent report from Making Star Wars indicates that he’s bringing some trademark style to his screen time, with the character said to be wearing one of his patented capes. And while that claim has yet to be officially confirmed, it’s difficult to imagine a nostalgia junkie like Abrams breaking from tradition.

On the more questionable end of the rumor mill, a leak from a couple of weeks ago alleged that franchise newcomer Naomi Ackie will be playing Lando’s daughter Vera. Now there’s a claim to be taken with a grain of salt, but with the Sequel Trilogy already serving as an extended passing of the torch between generations, it’s not unthinkable that Lucasfilm would want Lando’s legacy to live on in future entries, and the introduction of some offspring would be a very Star Wars way to go about it. Besides, we haven’t seen the guy since Return of the Jedi, so he’s had plenty of time to start a family of his own.

Anyway, we’ll find out what’s in store for Lando, and if he ever gets to reunite with his cherished Millennium Falcon, when Star Wars: Episode IX hits theaters on December 20th, 2019.
