Birds Of Prey Banner Reveals New Look At Harley Quinn

Right now, I imagine that I'm not the only DC fan eagerly awaiting a full Birds of Prey trailer. Though the flick may not be out until early next year, I'm dying to see what this big screen team-up involving Harley Quinn, Huntress and Black Canary yields. There was that brief teaser from a while back, but it was exactly that - a teaser.

Right now, I imagine that I’m not the only DC fan eagerly awaiting a full Birds of Prey trailer. Though the flick may not be out until early next year, I’m dying to see what this big screen team-up involving Harley Quinn, Huntress and Black Canary yields. There was that brief teaser from a while back, but it was exactly that – a teaser.

In the meantime, we’ll just have to rely on set photos and the like to tide ourselves over. Speaking of which, a Licensing Expo going on in Brazil has gifted us with something new, that being a fresh look at Margot Robbie as the Clown Princess of Crime, and it can be viewed below.

As you can see, the attire worn by Harley is a far cry from any iteration previously known to us, yet I have seen even some diehard fans of the character praise the zaniness of her new threads. The stubborn purists, however, will likely dismiss anything not patterned after the classic design from Batman: The Animated Series.

Costuming aside, I’m remaining optimistic that this film turn out well. If you’ve been keeping up with recent news, then you’re aware of how reshoots had been ordered. This is normally standard stuff in Hollywood, but when the studio brings in another director to oversee the added material, then that’s when we begin sweating over the possibility of another Suicide Squad or Justice League type of situation occurring.

Getting back to the banner itself, fingers remain crossed for more promo items actually highlighting Black Canary and Huntress. Though Harley is riding high after moving so much merchandise around the time of Suicide Squad‘s theatrical run, she normally isn’t associated with this super group. Yes, I know of how a new comic including her on the team is being launched this fall, but you have to admit she’s really taken the wheel when it comes to the film adaptation.

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) arrives in theaters on February 7th, 2020.
