We get a look at four of the movie’s main players from these screenshots: Margot Robbie’s Clown Princess of Crime, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary and McGregor’s Roman Sionis. From these we can gather than Sionis runs a nightclub in which Dinah Lance works at as a singer. Helena Bertinelli could be the toughest fighter of the group, too, going by these pics.

As for Harley, note that in both shots of Robbie, the anti-heroine is looking at the camera. This could confirm what We Got This Covered has previously reported – that Harley will break the fourth wall in Birds of Prey, much in the style of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. Also, you can make out a brief glimpse of Harley’s pet hyena in the first one.

Trailer Track has already revealed that a BoP trailer was on the way and while it’s only set to be 40 seconds long, it’ll offer our first look at actual footage from the movie. We had a longer teaser a few months ago, of course, but this was – very unusually – a specially-shot promo unveiling the cast in their characters’ costumes for the first time. The new trailer, meanwhile, will no doubt be playing before IT: Chapter Two, which drops on September 6th, so expect it around then.

Birds of Prey is currently undergoing reshoots, which will at least partially boost up the film’s action sequences – John Wick director Chad Stahelksi is taking over from Cathy Yan to helm them. There’s been some negative press surrounding the pic due to this, but we’ll get to judge the movie for ourselves when it arrives in theaters on February 7th, 2020.
