Black Panther 2 Rumored To Be Hitting Theaters In February 2021

The future looked bleak for Wakanda after Avengers: Infinity War, as the advanced African nation lost its king T'Challa to the Decimation. However, Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther was restored to life in Avengers: Endgame, ready to protect his country again in the promised sequel to his smash hit 2018 solo film. And, if this new "leak" is to be believed, he'll be clawing his way back into theaters in just a couple of years' time.

A blurred image of a document listing upcoming MCU movie release dates with a Marvel Studios header at the top has been posted on 4Chan, with it being claimed that it’s a snap of the official plans for Phase Four. Among many other surprises including a supposed confirmation of the New Avengers film and the news that there’s going to be an Ant-Man 3, the photo apparently reveals that Black Panther 2 is coming on February 12th, 2021.

Now, as any info from 4Chan should be taken with a healthy helping of salt, we can’t accept this as fact right now. But, with that as a given, how likely is it that BP2 could arrive when this leak claims?

Well, in terms of the time of year of release, February seems like a safe bet, as that slot was so successful for the first Black Panther. However, for it to make it into cinemas for early 2021, it’d have to start shooting about a year before and we imagine we would’ve heard something about a major Marvel sequel going into production so soon.

Still, it’s not completely out of the question, but unfortunately, the studio won’t reveal their Phase Four slate officially until this summer’s San Diego Comic-Con, following the closure of Phase Three with Spider-Man: Far From Home. Only at that point will we find out how close or far away Black Panther 2 is.
