Blu-Ray Featurette For Avengers: Infinity War Details All Six Infinity Stones

Another Blu-ray featurette for Avengers: Infinity War has found its way online, and this one is all about the six Infinity Stones and their near-limitless power.

Power, Reality, Space, Soul, Mind and the lime-green Time Stone – together, these elemental crystals control an essential aspect of existence, and only a being of immense power is able to wield all six stones simultaneously. Enter Thanos.

It’s no secret that the Mad Titan scoured all four corners of the universe in his search for the Infinity Stones, ultimately leading him to Wakanda, where Earth’s Mightiest Heroes mount one last defense in order to protect Vision from the invading forces. That is, in a nutshell, the explosive third act to Avengers: Infinity War, and it’s fair to say that the Russo Brothers honored their original promise to structure the film around Thanos and his apocalyptic quest.

Against all odds, the Mad Titan wins, but not before wreaking biblical havoc on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes – like, say, reducing Mantis to a pile of ribbons. Pom Klementieff’s curious alien has the Reality Stone to thank for that one, and up above, you’ll see that the latest Blu-ray featurette for Avengers: Infinity War profiles each gem and its near-limitless power.

It arrives in good time, too, as the MCU blockbuster is exactly one week out from its digital debut. And to celebrate, last night IGN premiered a behind-the-scenes featurette that journeyed back to the very first day on set, when a dressed-down John Brolin confronted Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark.

Circling back to today’s insightful promo, and viewers ought to pay close attention to the Time Stone description. It reads, “see the future, alter the past,” which can be construed as a possible clue for Avengers 4 and its own super-secret story.

Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves, though; Avengers: Infinity War has been set for a digital release next Tuesday, July 31st, before making its way onto Blu-ray and DVD two weeks later.
