Bob Odenkirk Says The Breaking Bad Movie Has Finished Filming

Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk says that filming for the mysterious Breaking Bad movie has finally finished, though details are skim to none.

Breaking Bad

While Walter White and Breaking Bad may’ve found their end in 2013, the show’s left behind a permanent mark on pop culture. And its legacy has continued to grow since 2015 with the ongoing spinoff series Better Call Saul.

But late last year, news of a Breaking Bad movie hit the surface from seemingly out of nowhere, with creator Vince Gilligan set to write and direct Jesse Pinkman’s next, Walter-less adventure. And though the internet was sent into a frenzy of anticipation, little else has been left to report on since. That is, until today.

According to ScreenRant, Bob Odenkirk, who’s starred as attorney Saul Goodman in both the original and spinoff series, revealed in a recent interview that the hush-hush film has finished shooting.

While this is certainly exciting news – that is, if it’s true – details on the project are few and far between. According to the original report from The Albuerque Journal, the picture will follow “the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.” Since AMC has yet to comment on even the existence of this movie, all we can do is speculate. And that kidnapped man sounds a whole lot like Jesse from the end of the series.

Now that filming has wrapped though, the possibility of a teaser trailer is finally starting to boil up. Hopefully, we’d get with it our first look at which familiar faces will be making their big screen debuts. And as much as we beg for it, given the explosive ending of the show, Bryan Cranston probably won’t be one of them.

So, with all this said, tell us, are you excited for the Breaking Bad movie? Do you think Gilligan’s masterpiece will translate well onto the big screen? Be sure to drop a comment down below and share your thoughts.
