Not long ago we told you that Brad Pitt had bowed out of the race for the role of Reiner in Ridley Scott‘s The Counselor and that Jeremy Renner and Javier Bardem where now the fighting it out for the position.

While that is still true, Twitch is reporting that Pitt may still join the film, but in a different role. Apparently the actor “met with Ridley Scott in the last few days” to “discuss the minor role of Westray.”

Pitt is definitely not who I would have imagined for Westray, as the role is quite minor. Perhaps they’ll beef it up if Pitt agrees to sign on. Either way, Pitt and Michael Fassbender in a Ridley Scott directed/Cormac McCarthy scripted film sounds pretty amazing. Don’t you agree?
