UPDATE: APRIL FOOLS!
Oh those pesky Justice League rumours, won’t they ever die down? Apparently not as today, we’re hearing more about the potential casting for Warner Bros.’ upcoming film. Sources close to the production have confirmed to us that Bradley Cooper is being eyed by the studio to take on the role of The Flash. If you recall, a few years ago Cooper was rumoured to be playing The Flash in a standalone movie. Though the actor denied any links between himself and the character at the time, news outlets stated that Warner Bros. was eager to have him in the family and that they had been actively pursuing him for some time to play The Flash.
Now, another tidbit that you may not be aware of is the fact that Cooper actually auditioned for the role of Green Lantern and almost landed it, meaning that the higher-ups at Warner Bros. obviously like him. He also headlines their extremely successful Hangover trilogy. So all things considered, Cooper and the studio obviously have a good relationship.
When speaking to our source, who shall remain unnamed for now, he had this to say on the possible casting:
“They’re scared, they are starting to doubt the whole project. Man of Steel is looking to be a hit but they still have doubts about Justice League. That’s why they’re trying to bring in some big names to make sure this thing gets off the ground. I heard that they’ve been talking to Bradley again for the role of The Flash. They want some big talent to headline this thing because right now the film is in trouble.”
