Breathtaking New Stills Show Off Noah’s Set

Darren Aronofsky's Noah has wrapped filming, but we still haven't seen all that much to give us a solid look at the film. There were a few pictures of the main cast in character, but that was just about it - until today. We still don't have any footage, but we do have the best look at the phenomenally beautiful locations the film was shot it that we could hope for.

Darren Aronofsky’s Noah has wrapped filming, but we still haven’t seen all that much that provides a solid look at the film. There were a few pictures of the main cast in character, but that was just about it – until today. We still don’t have any footage, but we do have the best look we could hope for at the phenomenally beautiful locations where the film was shot.

This series of more than 20 photos is made up mostly of shots of the landscapes where filming took place, but there are a couple new looks at the cast and various members of the production units. Unlike most set photos that hit the web, these are official, coming from the unit photographer, meaning they’re actually high quality pictures. Part of the film was shot in Iceland, and that’s where most of these photos were snapped. If this somehow doesn’t get you excited for the movie, it should at least make you want to plan a trip to Reykjavik.

For those who don’t know, Noah tells the story of a man who loves Earth and its animal inhabitants, but is disgusted with the way humans are treating the planet. The film is supposed to focus on more than just your typical Sunday school story, including an emphasis on the titular character’s alcoholic tendencies, though just how deep the film will go into Aronofsky’s trademark dark style is still to be seen.

Noah stars Russell Crowe, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, Barry Sloane, Kevin Durand, Marton Csokas, Dakota Goyo, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Mark Margolis and Arnar Dan. It floats into theaters March 28, 2014.

What do you think of these photos from Noah? Check out all the pictures below, and then head on down to share your thoughts with us on the stills and the film as a whole in the comments section below.
