At least Brie Larson has now given us a few words to tease what’s in store for the Captain in Endgame, and it seems that she might be the one to save the day. While speaking to Total Film magazine to promote her upcoming debut in the franchise, Larson teased that things might be about to get better for the surviving heroes when she shows up.

“I’m coming up. They’ve pager-ed me. So maybe it’s going better.”

The actress previously teased something similar late last year. Speaking at the CCXP, she said that Captain Marvel is “the strongest character in the Marvel universe” and that she would arrive in Endgame “at a very interesting time.” So, it sounds like Steve Rogers, Tony Stark and the rest can just lie back and put their feet up once Carol gets there and let her take Thanos for a spin, right?

Well, maybe not. The Russo brothers have spoken about the complexity of introducing such a, what you could call, overpowered character into their movie and explained that they always try to find the “vulnerabilities” in superheroes to make them interesting. We could infer, then, that though Carol will be a great deal of help in fixing what the Mad Titan did, the situation might be even too much for the heroine to save on her own.

In any case, we’ll finally get to meet Carol Danvers when Captain Marvel hits cinemas on March 8th, before Avengers: Endgame premieres on April 26th.
