He might be bored of action movies, but Bruce Willis is nothing if not charitable, agreeing in the spirit of sacrifice to yeah, ok, alright, just one last time, etc., etc., star in an action movie.

He might be bored of action movies, but Bruce Willis is nothing if not charitable, agreeing in the spirit of sacrifice to yeah, ok, alright, just one last time, etc., etc., star in an action movie. Said film is The Prince, coming to us courtesy of Russian director Sarik Andreasyan, whose previous work is mostly in the Russian language. He is making his English-language debut next year with The Great St. Louis Bank Robbery, starring Hayden Christensen, Adrien Brody, Jordana Brewster and Akon. He also sports a fine beard, and a cheeky grin.

The script comes from Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore, and the story reads like a sort-of Taken-style revengeathon: Willis plays someone gunning for revenge against a retired mob enforcer, forced into one last job to rescue his daughter from the clutches of that disguting vision of hell, Las Vegas. It is due to start shooting next month in New Orleans, and other cast details are sure to follow.

Who else has openly whined about the action genre? Who could be, but isn’t, in The Expendables 3? Scant few other details are available on The Prince as of yet, including the identity of the eponymous prince. Could it be little Prince George, son of Prince William and Kate Middleton? Let’s go ahead and assume that Bruce Willis, bored senseless, rescues the tiny prince from a rogue band of Las Vegas baby rustlers. Actually, that sounds great. Sarik, if you’re reading this, make that movie instead.

What do you make of Bruce Willis’ humiliating about-face? Just what could one do with Bruce Willis for the right amount of cold hard cash? The mind boggles. Leave your ideas below.
