I’ll be honest and say that I’ve never been a huge Jurassic Park fan. I was too young to remember the theatrical release of the original and never really got into the series. I do appreciate its importance for the industry and its technical achievements but for some reason, the films just never resonated with me.
That being said, I am curious about Jurassic World, the fourth instalment in the series that is set to be helmed by Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow. The film is still about two years away (June 12, 2015 is the current release date that’s been set) but it looks like the studio is already intent on starting the casting process.
On that note, The Wrap is reporting that Bryce Dallas Howard (yes, that’s Ron Howard’s daughter), is in negotiations for a role in the film. Unfortunately, we don’t have any details on which character she would play. Expect things to stay that way for some time too as thus far, plot details have been hard to come by, with most of what we’ve heard being nothing but pure rumors and speculation.
As always, we’ll let you know when we hear more. With Howard locked in, hopefully that means we’ll be getting more casting news shortly.
Tell us, are you excited about Jurassic World? And how about Bryce Dallas Howard, are you a fan? Let us know in the comments below.
