By and large, MCU fans don’t need any further convincing to check out Captain Marvel when it arrives in just ten weeks, but this new behind-the-scenes video that’s playing in Cinemark theaters certainly won’t hurt matters, offering further glimpses of the interplanetary adventure to come between statements from lead actress Brie Larson and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.

Carol Danvers’ big screen debut is noteworthy among other reasons for being the first MCU movie to have a woman as its sole title character, and according to the Larson, the film offers a heroine for viewers to look up to:

“The idea that we can have a symbol that represents strength and humility and compassion – that feels really valuable.”

Feige, meanwhile, teases that Captain Marvel “is about to take the lead, and be at the forefront of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe,” presumably alluding to Carol’s impending appearance in next year’s Avengers: Endgame, as well as whatever projects the studio has lined up for the character in Marvel’s Phase 4.

If Captain Marvel’s role in the franchise’s future is as important as Feige continues to suggest, then that puts a fair bit of pressure on this first movie to make a good impression, but going by the fan reactions to the footage we’ve seen so far, the promotion has certainly done its job in getting viewers pumped.

Of course, whether or not Captain Marvel can live up to hype is another matter entirely, but we’ll find out when the film hits theaters on March 8th, 2019. After that, Carol is set to join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for the big Phase 3 finale when Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26th.
