Captain Marvel Fan Art Imagines Brie Larson In The Classic Costume

Fans can't wait for next year's Captain Marvel to arrive, as it'll give us our first chance to meet Brie Larson's Carol Danvers, who's said to be the most powerful hero we've yet seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Still, there's one thing that's annoying comic book lovers: set photos have shown Larson decked out in a unique green, grey and silver costume rather than the character's iconic red, blue and gold threads.

Clearly, Captain Marvel will eventually don her usual costume. After all, many other MCU origins movies like Iron Man, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Captain America: The First Avenger and more have seen their respective heroes wear rudimentary versions of their outfits before they get an upgrade.

But what could the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s iteration of Carol’s classic costume look like? Well, one talented fan, Instagram user @ryans.reviews, has mocked up what we can expect to see, and you can check it out down in the gallery below.

The piece is essentially a recolored version of the green outfit from the set photos, which does closely resemble Captain Marvel’s usual attire except for its color. We wouldn’t be surprised if the suit actually remains the same and Carol Danvers just decides to spruce it up at some stage in the movie.

For a slightly more official look at how the proper costume will appear, some concept art for Avengers 4 leaked online recently, showing Larson’s heroine lined up alongside the remaining heroes. At the end of Infinity War, Nick Fury managed to send an S.O.S. to Carol before he died, so Iron Man and co. can definitely expect to get some much-needed back-up next May, a couple of months after Captain Marvel hits theaters in March.
