New Captain Marvel Footage To Debut During NCAA National Championship

Having already dropped two full trailers this year that have sent the fans into a frenzy of excitement, the promotion for Captain Marvel could’ve spent these next couple of months recycling its pre-released footage for run-of-the-mill TV spots and the film would’ve still got a huge opening come March. Nonetheless, it seems that Marvel Studios is willing to show us just a little more from Carol Danvers’ solo debut, with ESPN scheduled to broadcast another preview in just over a week’s time.

With Carol reportedly starting the movie with her superpowers already in placeCaptain Marvel won’t follow the conventional origin story formula, but it’s clear that the film will be telling us a lot about her early years as the amnesia-stricken lead attempts to piece together her own backstory. In that sense, you could say that we’ll be getting to know Carol while she gets to know herself, and we’ll find out if she’s worth all the hype when the film hits theaters on March 8th, 2019.
