The only thing bigger than the NFL’s biggest game is what goes on between the action: the Super Bowl commercials! Just as many fans tune in to see the best of the ads as they do to see the actual game. It’s the one television event that fans don’t want to DVR, that is unless their goal is to skip through the game and get to the good stuff.
With an average cost of about $3.8 million per each 30 seconds of commercial time, everyone who debuts an ad tonight has tried to create a memorable enough commercial that it’ll be the talk of offices and schools tomorrow morning. The TV spots airing for films are going to be no different.
Tonight we’ll have new trailers for Star Trek: Into Darkness, Oz the Great and Powerful, and Iron Man 3 among others, and our first look at Fast and Furious 6. All of the studios will be looking to make a lasting impact, considering this will be the best chance for these films to be showcased to the widest possible audience.
In the current age of trailers for trailers, naturally some of these were already posted on the internet before they premiered during the game, but we’re still waiting on the rest.
For those of you who are skipping the game or just want to re-watch your favorite trailers, we’ll be posting all of the previews throughout the night on this page. There should be some truly memorable trailers tonight so stay tuned!
Check out the trailers that have already been posted below and keep checking back all night for the rest of the spots. We’ll post them as soon as they debut.
