Check Out 7 Hi-Res Stills From Star Wars: The Force Awakens

While we all recover from last night’s final Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, Disney and Lucasfilm have released a batch of hi-res stills from it. Truth be told, they’re really just good quality screen-caps, but they give us another opportunity to freeze the action and take a closer look at some of the stunning shots from the teaser.

The stills focus on Rey (Daisy Ridley) in her Jakku scavenger gear, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) overlooking what we assume is the lethal Starkiller Base, an aerial dog-fight between an X-Wing (quite possibly piloted by Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron) and a First Order Tie-Fighter, and a snap of BB-8.

The final two images spotlight that intriguing meeting between Poe and Finn, which has been endlessly speculated upon by fans. Is that look the latter gives the pilot after the greeting because he knows something Dameron doesn’t? After all, Finn was a Stormtrooper – possibly while Poe was held captive by the First Order.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker, alongside franchise newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow. The movie is set to be released on December 18th, 2015.
