Now, the legendary Stephen King creation is about to be rebooted for a whole new generation of fans. And as if that prospect wasn’t scary enough already, we know for sure that the flick will be a frightening watch, as it’s been officially rated R due to “violence and bloody images.” Yikes.

This means that the movie won’t be for the faint of heart, as those in charge definitely aren’t going to hold back on the scares. With any luck, then, it’ll deliver enough thrills and chills to launch it into the conversation as one of the top King adaptations of all-time.

Details on the plot are still scarce, but we do know that the project will have almost nothing to do with the mid-eighties original. Instead, the storyline will focus on an all-new cast of characters trying to escape the cult of murderous preteens.

The short story of the same name follows an innocent couple who inadvertently wander into a ghost town in Nebraska.
