Chilling Fan Art Imagines Dane DeHaan As Jason Todd/Robin

If you were to gather a dozen or so Batman fans in a room and ask them who their favorite Robin is, I very much doubt that you'll come away with a unanimous response. I say that because, over the years, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, Stephanie Brown and Carrie Kelley have each accrued their own rabid followings. And though most have since gone on to take up other superhero identities, none will soon forget their respective times as the Dark Knight's apprentice.

When it comes to Jason Todd, though, I’m willing to make the bold statement that a fair amount of his fans were made well after his stint as the Boy Wonder. Having previously been murdered by the Joker and later resurrected, the volatile young man has since adopted the guise of the Red Hood, who’s often been regarded as one of DC’s more morally grey characters.

As such, we more often see fan art imagining what various actors would look like in that persona, but Kushal has shown us via their Twitter account how Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) would appear as Jason’s iteration of Robin, and it can be viewed below.

From the look of it, the Joker is about to bust out his crowbar, with DeHaan wearing Dick Grayson’s duds from the upcoming Titans series. Though not original attire, it’s hard to argue with that creative decision because, in my opinion, it’s the best looking Robin costume ever seen in live action.

Whether or not we’ll ever see Jason’s Robin get brutalized by the Clown Prince of Crime on the big screen remains unclear at this point, but given recent comments from Zack Snyder about Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, it seems the possibility of A Death in the Family influencing a future film still exists.
