Chris Evans Says Avengers: Endgame Is Going To Be Special

Taking to Twitter a few days ago, Avengers: Endgame star Chris Evans promised fans that the upcoming film is going to be special.

The long-awaited Avengers: Endgame trailer finally arrived last week and nearly broke the internet. Of course, it also gave fans a ton to process, from Tony Stark’s space-based situation, to the introduction of Clint Barton’s Ronin persona, not to mention the title reveal. And as a recent tweet from Chris Evans makes clear, those who’ve been eagerly anticipating what’s sure to be 2019’s biggest film are in for something special.

As Twitter exploded with ecstatic responses to the trailer last week, numerous MCU stars weighed in on it with messages of their own, and among them was this tease from the Captain America actor of what’s to come:

“This one is special. You guys have no idea…”

He’s right. Though we got quite a lot to chew on in that first trailer, it’s pretty clear that Marvel’s still holding back a considerable amount about Avengers: Endgame – including the fate of Cap. Though Evans had already fulfilled his contractual obligations of starring in six movies, he chose to extend his run in the franchise to next year’s release to help see off Marvel’s Phase 3. And though many thought that’d be it for him, recent comments from co-director Joe Russo have hinted that Steve Rogers may not be making his exit just yet.

Then again, both Joe and his brother Anthony are notorious for dropping false information and clues that ultimately lead nowhere to throw eager fans off the scent, and this could be another case of just that. After all, there’s more than enough evidence that points to Avengers: Endgame bringing Captain America’s story to a close, and while that’d probably be the right move for Marvel to make, we won’t know for sure what the future holds for The First Avenger until the film arrives on April 26th, 2019.
