There’s a good chance you first heard about this morning’s trailer drop by way of social media, as Twitter exploded with ecstatic responses, and among these messages was a tease from the Captain America actor of bigger things to come:

“This one is special. You guys have no idea…”

Indeed, the content of the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War sequel remains pretty mysterious to the general public, though the fans are giving it their all in trying to work out what adventures lie ahead.

In particular, Steve Rogers himself has been the subject of much speculation, and it remains a popular prediction that the film formerly known as Avengers 4 will serve as Evans’ swan song for the series. It’s a notion that the actor himself has certainly helped fuel, though co-director Joe Russo likely sent a lot of theorists back to the drawing board with his recent claim that Evans is “not done yet,” adding that he won’t explain what he means by this cryptic statement, but that audiences will soon find out what he’s talking about.

In all likelihood, we’ll learn what both Russo and Evans are referring to when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019. In the meantime, this week isn’t over yet for MCU unveilings, with the first teaser for Spider-Man: Far From Home expected to drop this Saturday.
