Christoph Waltz has landed a role in Bond 24, according to Daily Mail reporter Baz Bamigboye, who’s usually pretty accurate when it comes to scoops on the franchise. No word on who he’ll be playing, but we imagine that it will be the villain.

Waltz will join an already impressive cast that sees Daniel Craig returning to reprise his role as 007, along with Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris and Ralph Fiennes, who are all hopping on board again as well. Lea Seydoux and Dave Bautista have also apparently snagged roles, but their involvement, like Waltz’s, has yet to be officially confirmed by the studio.
That being said, I’d be all for seeing Christoph Waltz chew some scenery as the bad guy here. He’s no stranger to playing villains, and often excels when he’s in a villainous role. He’d definitely make a formidable opponent for the superspy and I think it’d be pretty exciting to see him go head to head with Craig.
Bond 24Â will shoot its way into theatres on October 23rd, 2015 in the UK and on November 6th, 2015 in the US. Tell us, would you like to see Christoph Waltz play the villain? Sound off below!
