The first photos have surfaced from the set of Joel and Ethan Coen‘s new film Inside Llewyn Davis. Featured here are the film’s three stars, Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan and Justin Timberlake.

The film, which is being described as a screwball comedy, follows “Llewyn Davis’ struggles as a folk musician during the genre’s 1960s heyday in New York City”. Isaac plays the title role of Davis who is loosely based on folk singer Dave van Ronk. Meanwhile, Timberlake is playing the role of Jim, Davis’ rival musician, and Mulligan plays Jean, Jim’s wife.

Inside Llewyn Davis star Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman and Garrett Hedlund, and is eyeing a late 2012 release.
