Colossus vs. Galactus? Deadpool 2 star Stefan Kapicic recently admitted that he'd love to be involved in some sort of crossover with the MCU.

Now that Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox is ready to move forward – at the expense of Comcast – comic book fans are beginning to dream up weird and wonderful crossovers involving Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and those Marvel characters about to join them.

We are, of course, referring to Deadpool, Fantastic Four and the X-Men, who are ostensibly homeward bound now that Comcast has ended its pursuit of Fox. There is still some work to be done before fans can truly celebrate, mind you; this proposed Disney-Fox merger is still subject to shareholder and regulatory approval, but it’s ‘so far, so good’ for the Mouse House.

Over on the Fox lot, Colossus actor Stefan Kapicic is still hoping to one day join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and go up against Galactus. While promoting Deadpool 2 back in May, the towering actor sat down with Red Carpet TV News (h/t ComicBook.com) to discuss his dream comic book movie role.

Then as a geek, as a fan, I’d like to see all of the Marvel Universe together in a way going against, maybe Galactus because Thanos is already in progress. There are so many beautiful arcs and so many beautiful stories.

That wish may come true, after all, though it’s worth noting that MCU boss Kevin Feige called for calm last month, when the Marvel president admitted that, at least for now, he only has vague ideas of how to incorporate the X-Men and their mutant allies – Deadpool included – into the fabric of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

So don’t get too excited – just be thankful that this historic expansion is actually on the verge of becoming a reality.
