It’s been a good few months to be Chris Hemsworth, as the Australian actor is in very high demand right now. Fresh off of the record-setting success of Avengers: Endgame and still in the midst of the less-than-stellar Men in Black: International run, the 35-year-old has recently been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
That isn’t all, though. Now, Dave Bautista has publicly expressed his desire for Hemsworth to join him and the rest of the cast in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3:
“If we can all do Infinity War and Endgame together… It was a who’s who there, and there were no issues. It was pretty amazing to see. That’s a trickle-down thing. That comes from the top. Marvel set the tone for an environment, and that’s what the environment is. I think they take all those things into consideration when people are being hired, and it was incredible to see a who’s who of Hollywood, all interacting together in a very pleasant atmosphere.
There were no egos; there was no ego-clashing or attitude. If there was, I didn’t witness it. I think Chris Hemsworth is a great guy; he’s a fun-loving Aussie. He is what you’d expect him to be. He’s very funny, pleasant and upbeat. He’s very social, so I think that would be a perfect fit to be honest with you. I think Hemsworth is hysterical.”
It’s no surprise that Bautista loves Hemsworth this much because everyone seems to. The idea of the duo teaming up again onscreen is one that should have fans salivating as well. After all, some of the most entertaining parts of Avengers: Infinity War were the interactions between Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy.
In Avengers: Endgame, moviegoers were able to see what an adventure could look like between the two sides and it was hard not to be impressed. Surely watching these factions fight bad guys together again would be a treat for anyone who loves the characters.
Bautista definitely agrees, and there’ve already been rumors that Hemsworth’s hero will pop up in the movie just to keep him relevant, but hopefully any cameo appearance will involve much more than that. It’s clear that Bautista holds a lot of sway with Disney as well, so maybe he can convince them to put his buddy in the film. Either way, it should certainly be an event to look forward to.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to hit theaters in the spring of 2021.
