Dave Bautista Says Drax Has Some Great Scenes In Avengers 4

According to Dave Bautista, Drax the Destroyer will be back for Avengers 4 and apparently, he'll have some great scenes in the film.

Now that the dust is beginning to settle from Avengers: Infinity War, and half of the population lies in ruins, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to figure out who will live, and who will die. You know, really die, once Phase 3 comes to a close next year.

Avengers 4 will surely herald the answers fans so crave, though considering the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth (among others) are fast approaching the end of their respective contracts, it seems a guarantee at this point that 2019 will signal the last hurrah for either Iron Man, Thor, Cap…or all three.

That said, we do know of at least one fan favorite who’ll be coming back to life after his unfortunate death in Infinity War: Drax the Destroyer. Yes, the Guardian of the Galaxy is not currently amongst the living, having been reduced to nothing but dust thanks to the Mad Titan snapping his fingers, but come Avengers 4he’ll be back, back, back. Or at least, that’s according to Dave Bautista.

In fact, not only will the fan favorite return to the fray, but he’ll also have some great scenes that we can look forward to. Speaking to Digital Spy, the actor touched on the status of next May’s blockbuster and revealed the following:

“But I know I’m in Avengers 4. I’ve shot most of it already. I do have two days of reshoots. But other than that, I have some really great scenes that I hope they use. But I guess that it remains to be seen what they’ll do with the characters.”

Of course, it’s not too surprising to hear that Drax will return. After all, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is already confirmed – even if it’s on permanent hold – and it’s widely assumed that most of the heroes who fell victim to Thanos’ snap will be resurrected. How they’ll be brought back is another matter entirely, but it’s no secret that folks like Spidey and Black Panther aren’t gone for good.

Still, it’s nice to learn that Avengers 4 will have some more great material for the Destroyer after his very enjoyable role in Infinity War and with any luck, we’ll start to get a bit of insight into how exactly he’ll be returning from the dead as we draw closer to the pic’s May 3rd, 2019 release.
