DC Fan Breaks Down All The Changes Joss Whedon Made To Justice League

A Twitter user has posted a side-by-side comparison of the Whedon and Snyder versions of Justice League in a lengthy thread, which we highly recommend you check out.

During the last twenty four hours, we’ve seen Zack Snyder bring out the big gun. Namely, confirming the direction of his grandiose vision for the DCEU.

Having corroborated that the NetherRealm Studios video game, Injustice, did indeed influence the Knightmare sequence in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, the American-born filmmaker hosted an online discussion with fans yesterday to clear up any confusion regarding the discarded narrative, and boy, did it ever.

However, before we get to that, in about as useful a way as Twitter has been used to date, @GreatKungLao has posted a side-by-side comparison of the Whedon and Snyder versions of Justice League in quite a lengthy thread. I won’t run through it now, as we’d be here all night, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in favour of the Snyder Cut.

The primary issue, which is continuous throughout the thread, is the difference between Snyder and Whedon’s visual styles. Undeniably, the former clearly has the keener visual eye, as opposed to the latter – who, by no means, am I indicating is an inferior filmmaker. It’s more a result of the time restraints placed upon him by Warner Bros.

Now, onto Snyder’s revelation that I mentioned above.

In case you haven’t been keeping up, the director uninhibitedly spilled that the ominous warning delivered by Barry Allen to Bruce Wayne, in which he pleads with Batman to find Lois Lane, unite the Justice League, and be wary of some tragedy that will befall Superman at some point in the future, was meant to be a reference to both Superman and “something darker,” like Darkseid.

Unfortunately, the director never got the chance to explore this disastrous future in Justice League, or any other DCEU installments. And he probably won’t ever get to, either. After all, with the above comparison thread and the Darkseid narrative now unveiled, what more can Zack or we do to prompt WB to release the damn Snyder cut!?
