Deadpool 2 Star Lobbies For Storm/Negasonic Teenage Warhead Team-Up

Could the impending Disney-Fox merger lay the groundwork for Storm and Negasonic Teenage Warhead to share the same screen? Brianna Hildebrand certainly hopes so.

The Deadpool 2 actress was in attendance at the MCM Comic Con event in Birmingham last week, where she fielded all sorts of questions about the sequel, not to mention those hotly-contested screenings.

But if Hildebrand was placed in control of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its roster of characters – a roster that’s set to increase tenfold, given the possibility that the X-Men, Fantastic Four and the Merc With a Mouth may be homeward bound – the actress would like to see her moody mutant join forces with Alexandra Shipp’s Storm.

This is probably because I’ve already worked with her, but probably Alexandra [Shipp]. We have a good friendship and I think it would be fun to be a superhero with her with her little glue on hairs. It’s a hard question, though – there are so many people.

That’s not all that surprising, either, given the two starred alongside one another for Tragedy Girls, the 2017 horror rom-com directed by Tyler MacIntyre. It’s worlds away from the mutant-centric drama of Fox’s X-Men universe, but the core chemistry between Brianna Hildebrand and Alexandra Shipp leaves us feeling hopeful that a Storm/NTW crossover may well see the light of day.

Failing that, there’s always X-Men: Dark Phoenix to look forward to, while Deadpool 2 is expected to kick off Fox’s 2018 slate on May 18th – six weeks earlier than initially expected, where it’ll be opening alongside Avengers: Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story.
