Deadpool Joins The Avengers In Ryan Reynolds-Approved Fan Art

Though the upcoming Avengers: Endgame looks to be juggling an overwhelming array of Marvel heroes, we can safely assume that Deadpool won't be one of them, not least because the Disney/Fox merger hasn’t yet come into effect. Still, if you’d like an idea of how it might’ve looked if Wade Wilson had joined the fight against Thanos, fan artist Rahal Nejraoui has come up with a pretty nice design for the Merc with a Mouth’s Avengers outfit that has earned a social media like from Ryan Reynolds himself.

As you can see, Deadpool is rocking his classic red outfit with a few adjustments to match the new ‘Quantum Realm suits’ that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are shown wearing in various Endgame leaks. In the caption, Nejraoui argues that “it’s never too late to join the party,” before adding that Wade will “meet you guys in the quantum realm.”

Indeed, it’s generally expected that the microverse last seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp will be of crucial importance to both the Avengers: Infinity War sequel and the future of the MCU in general, with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige teasing last year that there are “all sorts of adventures to be had” in this mysterious place.

As for Wade Wilson, though it’s unclear when the character will be returning to cinemas, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have at least made it clear that they have every intention of pushing forward with Deadpool 3. Earlier this week, Disney CEO Bob Iger even offered his assurance that the series will be allowed to keep its R-rating after the merger, while also hinting that there may be plans for other Marvel movies to go beyond a PG-13.

In any case, though the next phase of the MCU still feels mysterious, we’ll find out how Marvel wraps up its current era when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
