Okay, I fully admit that I’m normally not one for fan films, YouTube parodies or most of the whimsy you find on the internet. Having said that, I have to tip my hat to the folks behind this recent Deadpool/Beauty and the Beast parody that managed to thoroughly entertain me for a handful of minutes. Hey, if you can make the most straight-faced of people laugh out loud, you know you’ve done your job.
Yes, there was that animated mashup not long ago that superimposed the Merc with a Mouth into memorable scenes from various classic Disney flicks, but this one undoubtedly takes the cake. This ultra-violent spin on “Gaston” may not be safe for work, but… well, actually, I’m not sure what it’s safe for. Still, I recommend you watch it the first chance you get.
Had I not known better, I’d have said it was Ryan Reynolds under that mask, not Michael Parker, so I must compliment him and all involved for doing such a tremendous job. Much like the recent teaser for Deadpool 2, it tells a very succinct story worthy of the enormously popular character and features cameos from the likes of Black Widow, Rogue, Psylocke and Spider-Man. I especially liked the little joke about Natasha’s romance with the Hulk.
Believe me, it’s not just the lyricism that’s great here (something I found to be far superior than the musical episode of The Flash), because the choreography is off the charts. It’s really everything you’d expect from Deadpool and I’m not sure this would’ve worked without it.
Anyway, take a gander at the video and let us know what you think in the usual place below!
