Gunning for a similar homage to all things ’80s as Netflix’s Stranger Things, Andy Muschietti continues to piece together his modern redo of It ahead of its arrival late next year, and the director’s Instagram feed has offered up a treasure trove of set photos and eerie storyboards to boot.

Stephen King fans will take a particular liking to the media dump, with cute references peppered throughout. We’ll refrain from revealing too much in fear of spoiling the surprises Muschietti no doubt has in store, but let’s just say the thought of stepping foot in Derry, Maine once more conjures up an intoxicating mix of excitement and trepidation.

Much of that, of course, gravitates around Pennywise the Clown, the infamous trickster that’s essentially the embodiment of evil. He’ll be brought to life with manic glee by Hemlock Grove star Bill Skarsgard, headlining a cast of up-and-comers that comprises Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor.

Andy Muschietti is cooking up his reboot of It over at New Line ahead of a theatrical release on September 8, 2017. Below, you’ll find that avalanche of ominous set photos.
