The upcoming Christmas project will warm even the coldest pieces of your heart and ignite the belief in holiday magic in all of us once again. It’s easy, as we get older, to stop seeing the simple joys in life, and we often walk right past wonder happening in our lives around us every day. The holiday season is when we can all agree that the childhood belief in something greater is easier to believe in once more.

This very idea sits at the heart of Dashing Through the Snow, and if you’re excited to find out more, as usual, we’ve got you covered.

Who will star in Dashing Through the Snow?

Dashing Through the Snow has quite an exciting cast, including the likes of Lil Rel Howery, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Teyonah Parris as the main characters who will breathe life into Nick, Eddie Garrick, and Allison Garrick, respectively.

Director Tim Story tells Entertainment Weekly that Howery and Ludacris had phenomenal chemistry on set, which is part of what makes the film such a success:

“They gave each other the space and the support to give some really great performances. There’s a percentage of [the film] that’s whimsical… and then there’s a percentage of it that’s very accessible and down-to-earth and grounded. And I think they found such a great combination of that… the way they kind of juxtaposed one another on screen. I got very lucky that they both were willing and able to do it.”

In addition to the all-stars we mentioned above, we’ll also see Mary Lynn Rajskub, Ravi V. Patel, Gina Brillon, Kevin Connolly, and Zulay Henao as various characters in the Christmas movie that we’ll soon be adding to our yearly watch list. Disney is behind some of our favorite projects in holiday movie history so far. With successes like The Santa Clause film franchise, we have a feeling that Dashing Through the Snow will be quite the family watch experience.

What is the plot for Dashing Through the Snow?

Some of the best holiday films have to do with finding that magic we discussed earlier in the most unlikely places. We see characters going from living lives just going through the motions or feeling quite uninspired, and suddenly, an event happens that thrusts them into a realm where a warm light soon embraces them, serving as a reminder of what’s really important.

A Disney press release shares that Dashing Through the Snow is just the kind of feel-good holiday film that will remind us all of the true meaning of Christmas:

“Eddie Garrick is a good-hearted man who has turned his back on Christmas due to a traumatic childhood experience. At the request of his wife, Allison Garrick, from whom he is separated, Eddie takes his 9-year-old daughter Charlotte to work with him on Christmas Eve, where they meet a mysterious man in a red suit named Nick. Eddie, who is a social worker, thinks the man is delusional and needs professional help, but when he evokes the wrath of a local politician, he and his daughter are taken on a magical adventure that just might restore his faith in Christmas.”

Restoring his faith in Christmas will be just the experience Garrick will treasure alongside his daughter, Charlotte, and it will likely pull on the heartstrings of all of us, too.

When can I see Dashing Through the Snow?

For those excited to see Dashing Through the Snow, the film will be available to Disney Plus subscribers on Nov. 17, 2023, just in time for a sit down with your friends and loved ones. We have a feeling this one will be best paired with a warm, cuddly blanket, Christmas cookies galore, a glass of wine, or a warm mug of cocoa, and your favorite people all at once.
