Another day, another boatload of photos emerging from the set of xXx: The Return of Xander Cage via Vin Diesel’s social feeds.

On this occasion, Orange is the New Black starlet Ruby Rose is pictured having fun behind-the-scenes, while there’s also a still of Donnie Yen – who recently supplanted Jet Li on the action threequel – filming a scene with Diesel.

Reprising the role of the titular sports extremist, Diesel initially marked the start of production with an early shot of himself riding a stunt bike against a humungous green screen, bikini-clad woman in tow. But if you’re worried that The Return of Xander Cage will lean too heavily on CGI effects, don’t; the fan-favorite actor shared a photo alongside the film’s stunt coach in preparation for a scene.

Lastly, a shot of Diesel and Bollywood star Deepika Padukone caps off the latest update, and the pair will be joined by Toni Collette, the returning Samuel L. Jackson, Furious 7 cohort Tony Jaa and Irish UFC champ Conor McGregor, along with Nina Dobrev and Andrey Ivchenko as the film’s big bad.

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage is expected to make a break for theaters in early 2017. An early synopsis can be found below:

The third explosive chapter of the blockbuster franchise that redefined the spy thriller finds extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments. Packed with the series’ signature deadpan wit and bad-ass attitude, “xXx: THE RETURN OF XANDER CAGE” will raise the bar on extreme action with some of the most mind-blowing stunts to ever be caught on film.
