The show is one of several projects lined up next year for Warner Bros.’ new VOD service, and from the look of things, the studio is likely hoping that this’ll be the Guardians of the Galaxy of the platform, or to put it another way, the small-screen version of DC’s Suicide Squad. It’s even been reported previously that Diane Guerrero’s Crazy Jane will be the Harley Quinn of the group.

Meanwhile, you have April Bowlby as Elasti-Woman, who’s capable of changing her body at will, while Joivan Wade, on the other hand, offers the show’s take on Cyborg, whom we’ve previously seen handled by Ray Fisher on the big screen.

Moreover, Brendan Fraser delivers one-liners as Robotman, a former race car driver whose brain was transplanted into a robot body after an accident destroyed his own. And lastly, the guy in the bandages is Negative Man, a former pilot voiced by Matt Bomer who developed a “radioactive soul-self” after crashing into some negative energy. The trailer also offers a quick glimpse of Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder, aka The Chief, who’ll serve as leader to this line-up.

Doom Patrol is set to share its continuity with the likes of Titans as part of its own of its universe, and seeing how that show turned out better than many of us had feared, there’s reason to believe that Warner is handling its new DC Universe endeavour sensibly. We’ll find out if this new gang of oddballs can win over fans when the show makes its premiere on February 15th, 2019.
