Over these past few months, the internet has seen a fair amount of artwork and promotional imagery emerge from the upcoming Avengers: Endgame, but few have granted the clash to come with the same scale and gravitas as this latest image, which comes to us courtesy of the Forbidden Planet website.

There may not be a huge amount that this artwork can tell us about the Avengers: Infinity War sequel that we couldn’t gather from previously shared and leaked images, but it’s nice to get a better look at Clint Barton’s Ronin costume and the backdrop of Black Widow’s section has already prompted some speculation that she may be paying a visit to Nidavellir. In fact, the background might well imply another trip into space for the whole team, while the effects on Ant-Man hint at further scenes in the Quantum Realm. But really, perhaps the best reason to be glad that this image exists is simply how good it looks.

On the far right of the artwork, you may notice that half of War Machine is barely visible, implying that either poor Rhodey got the short end of the stick, or what we’re looking at is just one part of a larger picture. If so, then perhaps that’s why Thanos is absent from the above image, though based on all we’ve heard, Endgame is likely to have enough familiar faces to fill up several illustrations like this.

In any case, though official plot details on Avengers: Endgame are almost non-existent, we can expect at least one more trailer to shed light on the adventure to come before the film finally hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
