It’s shaping up to be a very big month for trailers – especially if you’re a Marvel fan – and things don’t look to be slowing down in the slightest. In fact, they’re only getting bigger. And we mean that quite literally, as we now have the latest preview for Godzilla: King of the Monsters for you to feast on and it can be seen up above.

The phenomenal first trailer for the Big G’s next cinematic outing that premiered earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Con has set the bar pretty high for this latest preview, with its scenes of impending menace and destruction set to a rousing rendition of Claude Debussy’s “Clair de lune.” And while this the new trailer may not give you quite the same chills, it’s unlikely to dampen the fans’ excitement either, offering us a much better look at Godzilla’s next major foe, the mighty, three-headed King Ghidorah.

The trailer starts off in much the same way that we saw in the leaked teaser from the recent Tokyo Comic-Con as Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown attempts to contact the secret government agency known as Monarch. From here, Thomas Middleditch of Silicon Valley fame offers some ominous context, explaining how the so-called Titans are just the tip of the iceberg, and that the world will have to learn which of these giants are here to protect us, and which are here to threaten us.

As the subsequent clash with Ghidorah against a dark, rain-soaked backdrop should make clear, Godzilla himself is one of the good guys, and we’ll find out how Earth’s unlikely new defender fares in the fight when Godzilla: King of the Monsters hits theaters on May 31st, 2019.
