It’s no secret that the Hogwarts class of 2011 have continued their friendships far beyond the Scottish Highlands.

Case in point: two weeks ago, Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) posed for a selfie on the beach, sending Harry Potter fans into a tizzy.

First posted to Emma Watson’s personal Instagram feed, this was more of a message directed at Tom Felton than anything else, given the actress takes a moment to plug Felton’s upcoming Origin series, a dark and brooding sci-fi adventure that’s currently available to stream via YouTube Premium (formerly known as YouTube Red).

It hasn’t exactly hit the ground running, mind you, what with the lukewarm reviews, but it’s heartening to see Tom Felton pursuing ambitious projects now that his Hogwarts days are long behind him. Speaking of which, circling back to Emma Watson’s Instagram post and we can see that the actress snuck a very subtle Potter reference into her hashtag.

Tom’s @origin_series is out on 14th November. Congrats dear friend. #TFToleratingmysubparskatingskillssince1999.

This is merely a screengrab of the Harry Potter duo basking in the sun; Watson’s original Instagram included a video of the pair skateboarding along what appears to be the California coast. Either that, or this video was taken at a time when the United Kingdom was enjoying a particularly incredible spell of good weather. Then again, even the most powerful wand in all of Hogwarts would struggle with such a feat…

Next up for Warner’s Wizarding World series is the third installment in the Fantastic Beasts prequel saga, and let’s just say that David Yates and J.K. Rowling have some work to do if they’re to be forgiven for The Crimes of Grindelwald.
