Epic DCEU Art Imagines The Man Of Steel Fighting Black Adam

It's been years since Dwayne Johnson was announced to have signed up to play anti-hero Black Adam in the DC Extended Universe, and yet we've still to see the megastar turn up in the franchise. We're not even sure when he'll make his debut. Originally, the actor was set to play the villainous role in Shazam, but it's since been revealed that this won't be the case. Instead, a Black Adam solo film is in the works, though it doesn't seem like that's being hurried into production.

It’s been years since Dwayne Johnson was announced to have signed up to play anti-hero Black Adam in the DC Extended Universe, and yet we’ve still to see the megastar turn up in the franchise. Now, one fan’s decided that we’ve done enough waiting and has imagined – via some awesome art – what it would look like if Johnson’s Black Adam battled Henry Cavill’s Superman. Previously, rumours stated that Adam would show up in Man of Steel 2, the sequel to the 2013 movie that kicked off the DCEU and today, we have an idea of what it might look like if those rumors do indeed come true.

Brought to us by designer Datrini, you can check it out down in the gallery below along with some other awesome art imagining the two characters coming to blows.

Pretty neat, eh? Of course, there’s nothing to say that this will ever happen, as Black Adam’s role in the franchise is a bit of a mystery right now, and will likely stay that way for some time. Like we mentioned above, though, word on the street is that he could show up in the next solo outing for Supes, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed that these two titans do indeed go at it somewhere down the road.

Closer to home, though, Justice League is the next DCEU effort headed our way and it’ll be here on November 17th. Beyond that, and aside from locking down a late 2019 release date for Wonder Woman 2, Warner Bros. has been coy about its future plans for the DC Extended Universe, but we do know that David Sandberg’s Shazam – a film that’s seemingly much more light-heartened when compared to the rest of WB’s superhero output – is next in line to enter production ahead of its debut in the early stages of 2019.
