One of the most highly-anticipated films currently in development is Tate Taylor’s The Girl on the Train. Based on Paula Hawkins’ best-selling novel, the project has gone through several casting changes over the past few months, with Chris Evans and Jared Leto both eyed to star at one point, alongside lead actress Emily Blunt.

Now, however, Edgar Ramirez and Justin Theroux have been brought on board, along with several other high-profile actors, and production is moving full steam ahead.

We still haven’t seen any footage just yet, but thanks to EW, we now have the first photos from the film, along with some comments from Taylor, who explains that Blunt’s Rachel is a bit of a train wreck:

You can’t avoid the puns with this movie — she’s a train wreck,” Taylor says. “She does things that we all think, and we all wish we could do.”

For those unfamiliar with the source material, Hawkins’ story follows the emotionally damaged Rachel who spies on a couple played by Luke Evans and Hayley Bennett. When she “accidentally witnesses an act of betrayal, however, followed by the woman’s disappearance, she inserts herself into the investigation and their lives.”

The Girl on the Train will roll into theatres on October 7th, 2016.
