Marvel’s most ambitious and risky film to date is finally here. Guardians of the Galaxy touches down in theatres with a fury of excitement and anticipation, brining with it glowing reviews and the promise of a wild and wacky adventure that just might provide the most fun you’ll have all summer. Starring an incredible cast, led by Chris Pratt, and boasting direction from the brilliant James Gunn, all signs point to the film being the studio’s best effort yet.
One of the most talked about elements of Guardians of the Galaxy is certainly its cast, and it’s easy to see why. Opting to go for some pretty unconventional casting choices, Gunn and the folks at Marvel have put together one of the most interesting ensembles of the year. One member of the cast that definitely has a lot of people curious is wrestler Dave Bautista, who portrays Drax the Destroyer.
Though this isn’t his first movie role, it’s certainly his biggest to date and no doubt the most challenging part that he’s ever tackled. While in Toronto doing press for his new film, we had the chance to sit down with Bautista and discuss with him his work in Guardians. The actor/wrestler talked about the challenges that he faced, what he learnt on set, working with such a great cast and more.
