Exclusive Video Interview With Jon Cryer, Stephanie Szostak And Will Sasso On Hit By Lightning

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

If you like your romantic comedies with a good dose of black humor, then you should check out Hit by Lightning. It stars Jon Cryer as Ricky Miller, a 40-year old aspiring writer whose survival job is being a manager at Debbie’s Restaurant. He’s also a bit lonely as he’s never had much luck with women.

That all changes though when he creates an online dating profile and soon meets Danita (Stephanie Szostak), whom he is convinced is the love of his life. Things take a sudden turn, however, when Danita reveals to Ricky that she is actually married to a successful crime novelist and asks Ricky to murder him so that they can be together.

Despite Ricky’s skepticism, he agrees. But it isn’t long before he starts to wonder if Danita is telling the truth, or if there’s something else going on that she’s hiding from him.

At the recent press day for the film, I landed an exclusive interview with Cryer, Szostak and Will Sasso, who stars as one of Ricky’s friends. They spoke about shooting on such a tight schedule, what drew them to the project and more.

Check it out in the video above and be sure to catch Hit By Lightning as it’s now in theatres!
