Shooting its way into theaters this Friday is the last outing for Screen Gems’ Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Set to take Alice (Milla Jovovich) back to where it all began, The Hive in Raccoon City, it’s here where she encounters the Red Queen, a super-intelligent AI that may hold the answer to taking down the Umbrella Corporation once and for all. But can the sentient computer really be trusted?
Full of gritty, action-packed set pieces oozing with style and boasting another badass performance from Jovovich, not to mention a few thrills and scares along the way, The Final Chapter is a fitting conclusion to the widely loved franchise. The Resident Evil films may not have always received the best reviews over the years, but they always seem to strike a chord with the fanbase, and this outing should be no different in that regard.
During the recent Los Angeles press day for the film, we had the chance to sit down for a 1 on 1 interview with the franchise star herself. Over the course of our discussion, Jovovich spoke about having to take care of her new baby on set, why she loves action movies so much, which superhero property she’d love to star in one day (and which character she’d play) and a whole lot more.
