Extended Suicide Squad Trailer Shows Off New Footage

To be honest, at this point, I was starting to get worried that there wasn't even any "new" footage left from David Ayer's Suicide Squad to show off. Of course, I don't mean that literally, but with all of the trailers, TV spots and clips we've seen thus far, it really does seem like Warner Bros. has given us everything they can before the film hits theatres.

To be honest, at this point, I was starting to get worried that there wasn’t even any “new” footage left from David Ayer’s Suicide Squad to show off. Of course, I don’t mean that literally, but with all of the trailers, TV spots and clips we’ve seen thus far, it really does seem like Warner Bros. has given us everything they can before the film hits theatres.

Well, apparently I was wrong, as a new extended trailer appeared online today that while mostly featuring recycled footage, does sprinkle in a few new bits. Sure, it’s pretty similar to that international preview that hit earlier this week, but if you look close enough you’ll see some fresh footage. At 2 and a half minutes in length, it’s a solid trailer as well, once again showing us just how much fun we’re in for with the DC Comics adaptation.

With anticipation continuing to mount for what seems to be a groundbreaking movie, at least for the comic book genre, we really can’t wait much longer for Suicide Squad to arrive. We’re only about 3 weeks away now, too, so expect Warner Bros. to keep pushing that marketing machine as far as it can go. At least until the first wave of reviews start to hit, which I imagine we won’t have to wait too much longer for.

Suicide Squad hits theatres on August 5th and stars Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Ben Affleck, Cara Delevingne and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, among others.

Tell us, do you think the film will hit the impossibly high expectations that have been set for it? Sound off below and let us know!
