For those of you who stayed in your seats at the end of 22 Jump Street, this post won’t come as a surprise. In fact, it’ll most likely come as a welcome bit of frivolity to end your working week. Via Imgur, an entire gallery dedicated to the film’s spoof spin-offs has arrived online.
If you cast your mind back to the end credits, the filmmakers took a massive meta-dig at the nature of sequels. In a torrent of scenes, audiences were left chuckling away at the absurd stream of fake sequels they could expect in the future. The mock-up posters for all of the flicks, from 23 Jump Street all the way up to 32 Jump Street, are all hilarious in their own right.
The successful sequel to 21 Jump Street brought in $320 million worldwide on a budget of $50 million. With such a boastful box office return, it was inevitable that a third outing would be set in motion. Sony Pictures and Original Film, who produced the first two movies, still have yet to secure directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller for the threequel, but Rodney Rothman, who penned 22 and 23, has been contracted to begin work on 23 Jump Street.
