Famke Janssen Joins The Cast of Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters

Famke Janssen is now set to join the cast of Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, according to The Playlist. Janssen who is best known for her role in the X-Men film series will star alongside Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner.

In the fantasy thriller, set 15 years after the Grimm’s Fairy Tale siblings incident at the gingerbread house, the film finds Hansel and Gretel working as bounty hunters, tracking down supernatural beings.

It is unknown what Janssen’s role will be in the film but Paramount is set to begin production on the film on March 7. No release date has been targeted. The film is being produced by Adam McKay & Will Ferrell’s Gary Sanchez shingle, with Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow) helming the director’s chair.
