New Fan-Made Poster Imagines Hawkeye With His Own Netflix Series

It's no secret that fans felt like Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye got a bit of a shaft in The Avengers. And while Age of Ultron did rectify that somewhat, it's hard not to feel like there's still a lot more that can be done with the character. As such, many have been calling for him to perhaps get his own Netflix show, which would provide Marvel with the necessary breathing room to properly explore the hero's backstory and flesh him out a bit more.

After all, as Daredevil and Jessica Jones have proven, and to a lesser extent Luke Cage and Iron Fist, the streaming service is an excellent home for superheroes, and just because they’re not on the big screen with a one hundred million dollar budget backing them, these characters can still be the stars of quality productions. Does that mean Hawkeye could possibly make the move to television one day, then?

Realistically, probably not, but that hasn’t stopped a very talented fan from designing a poster for a potential series starring the Avenger. Seen in the gallery below, it’s a simple, yet effective one-sheet that only has us even more eager to see this become a reality.

Pretty cool, eh? Like we mentioned above, it’s hard to imagine Hawkeye getting his own Netflix show at this point. I mean, it’s possible, but the window for it to happen has probably passed, given that Jeremy Renner is already 47. Not to mention that his time in the MCU looks like it’ll be over once Avengers 4 has come and gone.

Granted, a Hawkeye TV show could be a prequel, exploring Clint’s earlier years, but again, with Renner at 47, we’re not sure how well that’d work. Unless, of course, Marvel got another actor to play him. Either way, we can at least look forward to the character having a chance to shine in Infinity War, as Renner recently told us that the film will do “wondrous things” with him.

What exactly that means, we don’t know, but we don’t have long left before we see Hawkeye and the rest of the gang back on the big screen, as the Avengers will assemble to take down Thanos once and for all on May 4th, when Infinity War storms into theaters.
