Fans Struggling To Buy Avengers: Endgame Tickets As Websites Crash
As of this morning, Avengers: Endgame tickets are officially on sale, and in a less-than-surprising development, sites like Fandango and AMC are being flooded with fans hoping to book those early seats. In fact, the traffic has got so heavy that a few technical issues have quickly developed.
In Fandango’s case, filmgoers are being put on a very long waiting list, and some have been kicked out of the app while trying to book their seats. Meanwhile, AMC A-List subscribers are finding that the app is crashing or outright refusing to load. As you likely know by now, MCU fans can be a passionate lot, and in the midst of struggling to buy their tickets, many have taken to Twitter to voice their frustration:
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the first ever Avengers tickets Hunger Games. Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor. https://t.co/9Ccf7bKo1h

Hey @Fandango, it's not a line if the line grows in front of you…
What a time we live in where we have to wait in a digital line to get tickets to a movie… pic.twitter.com/NTeJXasGQ0

@AMCTheatres Figure you guys would have anticipated AVENGERS tickets going on sale but no, your app is broke. Being an A List Member is giving me a headache this morning. pic.twitter.com/y8HuwISRFj

Imagine being so dumb that literally no one can buy Endgame tickets from an AMC theater. Not through fandango, not through Atom, not through their own A-List service that I pay for. pic.twitter.com/TnD5NNhKHL

As screenings quickly fill up, some fans will likely end this morning disappointed. At the same time, the mad scramble for tickets makes it all the clearer that Endgame is going to be seen by a ridiculous number of people when it comes out later this month. So if you can’t catch one of these earliest screenings, it’s not like the film will be exiting from theaters anytime soon.
As it stands, Avengers: Endgame is being predicted by various sources to beat the box office record currently held by Avengers: Infinity War for best opening weekend of all time, on levels both domestic and global. If there’s just one thing limiting how much money the movie can make in its first few days, it may be the film’s hefty runtime, which will surely reduce the number of daily showings that cinemas can manage. Regardless, everyone will get a chance to attend their screening once the pic hits theaters on April 26th.
